We launched a new website last week: Shedquarters.
Shedquarters is a new charity in the Sonning Common area of Oxfordshire, which is part of the UK Men’s Shed Association. The idea is to provide an environment for both men and women who wish to make and mend things together in a sociable environment.
This is a project close to my heart, with my Mum being Treasurer of Shedquarters, and I’ve been really pleased to have been able to contribute in a small way by providing the domain name, web hosting and website build for the project.
We’ve started very simple with the site, with a view to continue developing it over time:
Building an entirely new website can be quite a daunting prospect for a voluntary organisation, particularly when they are brand new and don’t naturally have much content created yet. So, the idea of starting with the absolute bare minimum can be really effective – by doing this, we’ve got a website presence up and running for them very quickly and can continue to develop the website over time.
